Mr. Mazzella is a mechanical engineer with more than thirty-five years of experience in the automotive industry. His background consisted of many years as a design and release engineer and leader for several lower end systems in Ford Motor Company’s engine design organization. He also spent several years within Ford Truck engineering as a lead problem solver where he obtained Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications. He often applies his expertise to analyze the design and performance of vehicles and their systems, or to investigate the cause of vehicle related concerns and failures.
Prior to consulting with Lillo Engineering, Mr. Mazzella spent 3 years running operations for two small automotive suppliers, including assembly of material handling storage racks, as well as manufacturing custom identification solutions for OEM clients.
Mr. Mazzella earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, in 1987 and an MBA from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, in 1992. In addition to his formal education, Greg has completed numerous training programs and certifications while at Ford, including the Ford College Graduate Program (Engine Product & Manufacturing Engineering), DV&PV, FMEA, EEC-IV Mechanics/Technicians Course, among others.
